Every engagement follows DMAIC — the five-step Six Sigma cycle for measurable process improvement — applied to your website and operations.
Step 1 · Define
Before touching anything, we pin down the outcome you care about and the Critical-to-Quality checkpoints that decide it — so improvement is measured, not assumed.

Straight answers about how we measure, build, and price the work.
Around 3 sigma is typical for a small-business website. 4 sigma is strong, 5 sigma or above is best-in-class, and 6 sigma means roughly 3.4 defects per million opportunities. Below 2 sigma indicates fundamental quality problems that are usually suppressing conversions.
The number of failed checkpoints is divided by the number of applicable checkpoints to give a defect rate, which is scaled to defects per million opportunities (DPMO). That DPMO is converted to a sigma level using the standard inverse-normal formula with the conventional 1.5 sigma long-term shift, so 3.4 DPMO equals 6 sigma.
DPMO stands for defects per million opportunities. It is the defect rate scaled to a million chances to fail, which makes quality comparable between websites of very different sizes.
Ottoflow is an AI automation and Six Sigma process improvement company for small businesses. We measure website and operational quality as a defect rate, then build the automations that remove those defects at the source — custom workflow automation, AI agents, reporting, and CRM and lead-generation automation.
